With Milwaukie Bay Park on Hold…
A few years ago, the Milwaukie Parks Foundation launched a campaign to “Bring Play to Milwaukie Bay.” We focused our fundraising efforts on supporting the nature play area in Milwaukie Bay Park (MBP). The campaign created a lot of excitement and support for that park and we raised over $60,000 for construction by 2021. Early in that year, however, Clackamas County Commissioners placed a hold on the MBP project, stalling construction for the foreseeable future.
The Milwaukie Parks Foundation is committed to supporting the completion of MBP. All money raised for MBP has been placed in a high yield savings account dedicated to MBP, where it will remain until the project moves forward again.
We’re excited to announce our new fundraising campaign…
With Upgrading Adventures - One Swing at a Time!, we turn our focus on much needed improvements to existing playgrounds within Milwaukie parks. With a million-dollar maintenance backlog, several playgrounds in Milwaukie need major upgrades and safer play equipment. Some playground equipment is over 30 years old!
Milwaukie is known for strong citizen involvement and support. The Milwaukie Parks Foundation and playground users alike, appreciate your dedication and support for improving Milwaukie’s parks!
Of course, contributions of all sizes are welcome! But…
Anyone who can match Milwaukie resident Jacob Sherman's $250 will be publicly recognized on the MPF website as a Playground Champion! And donors of $100 or more will be recognized as a Playground Supporter!

Donations made during this campaign will be earmarked and awarded to the City of Milwaukie for playground improvements.
