All originating from Clackamas Community College, the Portland Jazz Quintet has been regularly gigging around Portland for the last 3 years. The band members Micah Scothorn (piano), Celia Collofello (bass), and Tyrus Friedstrom (drums) make up the rhythm section while Aidan Storm and David Asuncion-Augustine round out the horns. With inspirations ranging from John Coltrane, Miles Davis, and Pat Metheny, all the way to Stevie Wonder and Daniel Caesar. The Jazz and RnB music the Portland Jazz Quintet create has been called "high energy" and "tight" and will surely be a crowd favorite.
